The official sources, and the useful extras
Everything on this site is drawn from the FAA documents below, which are free. If this site and an FAA document ever disagree, the FAA document wins. Links were checked in October 2026; the FAA reorganizes its site occasionally, so search the title if a link breaks.

Other free study material
Several drone training companies publish free Part 107 study guides, practice questions, and video courses, and many pilots pass with nothing more than those and the FAA documents above. This site is independent and recommends none of them in particular; search for a current free course, check its date, and prefer the ones that cite the FAA sources. Paid courses ($100 to $300) buy structure and a pass guarantee, not secret knowledge.
The only required cost is the $175 test fee. Anyone charging to "renew" or "register" your certificate is selling something the FAA provides free.
